The SENSE Graduate Program provides training from Master's to PhD level. The aim of this multidisciplinary program is to train students and junior researchers in the issues surrounding the development, protection and management of eco- and agro-systems.

The Program

The SENSE Graduate Program focuses on knowledge, innovation, and cross-disciplinary research, geared towards top-notch scientific research in the fields of development, protection and management of eco- and agro-systems. It was set up with the support of the Plan Investissement d'Avenir or Investment for the Future Program (project: Graduate School for junior researchers at the University of Bordeaux / UB GRS, reference 20-SFRI-0001).

The SENSE Master's program in Environmental Management is based on 7 strong and specific specialities, and enables students to round out and personalise their scientific training in keeping with their career objectives, preparing them for the many career opportunities in the academic world or the private sector related to the environmental management of eco- and agro-systems.

120 hours of specific training are available to the students of the SENSE program on the following 3 topics:

  • Societal challenges of the Anthropocene in the context of cross-disciplinarity
  • Approaches and methodologies applied to environmental management
  • Integrated environmental management

Admission requirements:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent (180 ECTS);
  • Have a B2 level in English (TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS) and in French (DELF). Courses are taught in English and French.
  • Have completed a previous program and obtained a diploma in the following fields: Chemistry, Eco-toxicology, Agro-sciences, Viticulture, Oenology, Biodiversity, Ecology, Applied Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Economics, Environment, Sustainable Development.

 

Joining the program at PhD level

Are you enrolled in a PhD at the University of Bordeaux and is your research topic related to one of the fields covered by the program? The "SENSE cohort" welcomes you and the program's Master's students, with the aim of strengthening ties between junior researchers and the rest of the scientific community.
