UB PhD Scholarships

The Graduate Research School is launching a call for doctoral contracts within the new Graduate Programs of the University of Bordeaux (ANR-20-SFRI-0001 Project "Structuring training through research in initiatives of excellence").

Doctoral contracts may be awarded to international candidates within the scientific scope of the following 11 Graduate Programs: ARCHEO, AFRICA, Cancer Biology, Cardiac EP, EcoPoDeMa, Infinity², Numerics, EUREkA, SENSE, SiTH and LEXFI.

This call is divided into two parts:

1. Call for topics for potential thesis supervisors at UB
2. Call for applications for international students* on defined PhD topics

*Only international applications are eligible, i.e.:

• candidates holding (or currently enrolled in) a national level master's degree or another degree conferring master's status from a foreign institution (and abroad)
• candidates who are currently enrolled in second year of a Master "Graduate Program" at the University of Bordeaux, and holding a degree (e.g. Licence, Bachelor or Master 1) from an institution abroad (and abroad)

submitting Topic proposals

Authorized thesis supervisors may submit a proposal within the scientific scope of the above mentionned Graduate Programs, provided they comply with the supervision rules and procedures of the doctoral school to which they belong.

Topic proposals are to be submitted via ADUM only.

2025 Calendar:

• Opening: January 9, 2025
• Deadline for application on ADUM: February 3, 2025 at 11:59pm (23h59)
• Topics assessment: February 11
• Publication of topics: Week of February 17

• Deadline for application: March 17, 2025 at 11:59pm (23h59)
• Assessment of applications and auditions: between the end of March and the end of April
• Final selection and results: mid-May
• Start of the projects: between september and november 2025
