PhD funding
Dernière mise à jour :
This page introduces the main targeted calls for applications issued by the University of Bordeaux to potential thesis supervisors.
There are many different sources of funding for a PhD. In some cases, candidates apply for funding on their own and then apply for admission to the doctoral school in charge of their chosen speciality. On the other hand, in some cases, thesis supervisors are responsible for applying for funding for a research topic, selecting a candidate and then arranging their admission to the doctoral school.
Your doctoral school specifies - in its internal regulations - the conditions you need to meet to be authorised to supervise a thesis and the maximum rate of supervision authorised per supervisor.
- View the doctoral schools' admissions calendars and conditions according to the source of funding (the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR), the CIFRE program, research contracts, etc.)
- Each year, the Graduate Research School also organises calls for applications open to all doctoral schools: see below for details on how to apply for funding
