Applying for a doctoral contract at DPH

The Graduate Program Digital Public Health PhD call is open to applicants from all disciplines related to digital public health, regardless of their original field of study. Students must hold a Master's degree in one of the programme's main disciplines in order to be eligible (public health, informatics, epidemiology, statistics, mathematics, sociology, etc.). The reserach subject must explicitely be related to digital public health.

As the DPH program concludes in December 2027, the DPH 2026-2027 doctoral call will exclusively fund PhD extension grants for a duration of 3 to 12 months. These grants are reserved for PhD students already integrated into the DPH program to enable them to finalize their work leading up to their thesis defense.

The application file must include the following elements:

• A progress report: a detailed description of the work already completed as part of your PhD.
• A record of publications and scientific communications: a summary of your published or submitted papers and conference presentations.

• A completion plan: a description of the remaining work required to finalize your research until the thesis defense.

• A detailed timeline: a justified schedule of the tasks to be completed during the extension period.

The application period for the 2026-2027 call is open until the 1st of June 2026.
