The doctors from the 8 doctoral schools who defended their thesis in 2024 shared a unique moment with their families and friends, marking the end of their PhD years, on April 11, 2025.
Dean Lewis, President of the University of Bordeaux, and Roger Marthan, Director of the Graduate Research School, underlined the excellence of their research works and their contribution to scientific research.
Célia Pelluet, doctor in experimental quantum physics from the University of Bordeaux, humorist and singer, performed her one-woman show and shared her experience with the graduates, combining humor and music.
The doctors were then called to the Pin Galant stage by the doctoral schools' directors and deputy directors to receive the sash symbolizing the end of their PhD years and the graduation from the highest degree in French higher education.
The event ended with a festive and convivial cocktail reception.
