A series of webinars
This series of webinars (in French) is designed to raise awareness of the issues and practices of open science, and is aimed at the entire Bordeaux university community, particularly PhD students and researchers.
The webinars will be co-hosted by a researcher, who will share his or her open science practices and expertise, and a scientific and technical information professional. Various topics will be covered to help you better integrate the principles of open science into your research activities!
APEC publication strategies
Do I have to pay to get published? Is it the only way? Are there any alternatives? Don't miss this second open science webinar (in French) on March 27, from 12:30 a.m. to 1p.m.!
The University of Bordeaux has signed several “Read and Publish” agreements with publishers such as Elsevier, Wiley and Cambridge Universty Press, giving its researchers the right to publish in open access without paying APC fees or with discounts.
Program:
- APC: definition, management, issues
- Analysis of APC expenditure at the University of Bordeaux: what are the findings?
- APC agreements at the University of Bordeaux: what are the benefits for researchers?
- The Gold Open Access model: possible alternatives?
Speakers:
- Georgia Lytra, Senior Lecturer in Oenology, University of Bordeaux/Bordeaux Sciences Agro (UMR 1366 Oenology)
- Catherine Marc, head of the digital library-periodicals department, Service Transversal des Collections Documentaires (DIRDOC)
Dates for the next two webinars in May ("Strengthening my visibility with ORCID") and June ("Understanding the research data landscape in France") will be announced soon. Stay tuned!
