Yoann NABAT, recipient of the 2024 PhD Thesis Award from the Doctoral School of Law

Yoann Nabat's thesis, supervised by Virginie Peltier, is titled "Police Databases and Justice: Preserving Fundamental Liberties." It was defended on June 12, 2023, during which the jury noted the exceptional quality of both the thesis and the defense.

The 2024 PhD Thesis Award from the Doctoral School has been conferred upon Mr. Yoann Nabat, who obtained his doctoral degree in 2023. This decision was reached unanimously by the school's council during its meeting on April 11, 2024.

Mr. Yoann Nabat's thesis, entitled "Police Databases and Justice: Preserving Fundamental Liberties," examines the shortcomings of regulations governing police databases and the risks they pose to individuals and society. He proposes reforms aimed at more tightly regulating the development of data collection and surveillance mechanisms, while considering the imperative of safeguarding fundamental liberties.

Mr. Yoann Nabat is accredited by the National University Council (CNU) in Section 01 (Private Law and Criminal Sciences) as well as in Section 17 (Philosophy) - year 2024.
